Current and emerging leaders in early childhood
education and care are making their voices heard in the state legislature
through increased communication and advocacy efforts. Understanding the
legislative process is crucial to the ability to share meaningful dialogue about
issues. As term limits loom for lawmakers, the onus is on advocates to serve as
resources for legislative staff and incoming senators and representatives.
This publication is part of a series of
informational materials on issues pertaining to early childcare and education.
