The Basics of Effective Board Service: Preparing to Make a Difference

 


The Basics of Effective Board Service Workshop is an introductory board member development program of the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, presented in partnership with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater Kansas City.  This distinctive program draws upon the nationally-noted expertise of the faculty of the Midwest Center and a diverse group of experienced board leaders from across the Greater Kansas City community to help prepare current and emerging leaders to serve effectively as members of nonprofit and public service boards, commissions, and task forces.

Fee Information: $75 per participant (the series fee includes an extensive set of reference and resource materials). 

Location:  All regular sessions will be held at the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership’s Training and Resource Center in Room 210 of the UMKC building located at 4747 Troost in Kansas City, Missouri.  Parking is available at no additional cost.  Session fee includes an extensive resource binder, continental breakfast on Saturday, and pizza and beverages at the Tuesday night sessions.
